Great idea but pole broke upon initial set-up
I have a similar sun shelter product from LLBean that has served us well for many years and wanted another for the beach.

Poor Quality and Difficult to Assemble
Our initial set up of the shelter yielded disappointment.
It was very difficult to assemble and poor quality.

Seat up in 10 mins with help from 4yo twins
I received my Tripod Shelter last week and sat it up Saturday before we leave next Sunday for the beach. I wanted something light weight and easy to put up.

Good for camping, but not for beach
I bought this cover for the beach. The problem with this sun shelter is the wind. We put up the shelter with no problem and did use the sand pockets and tie downs.

If you’re used to setting up tents then this is a no brainer. The hard part to setup is finding a second person to assist.

    Poorly made.
This product, while a great concept, is poorly made. Once set up, you can see that the fabric was sewn together lazily (the seams in the center do not line up).

    Great Item for price
I am not sure if the product has been improved since the early reviews but this shelter is great for the price.

    A few setup tips
It took a while to figure it out, but setup took less than 20 minutes with one person.

We had it made in the shade
We just got back from a week at the beach and loved the sun shade, or as we came to call it, The Big Top.

tested in all conditions and passed!
I took this to Bonnaroo this year ( a 4-day music festival for those who do not know). I bought this to put it over my tent as extra shade from the hot Tennessee sun in June.
